I have not been making much jewellery recently as I have been too busy with the admin side of the business.

That's all for now!

Last nights creations!
I made these last night whilst watching the Sex in the City movie...the first one is called swirls of quartz and is a handmade fimo pendant with has been decorated with wire and strung together with rose quartz and cherry quartz.
The second necklace is called winter days and follows on from my autumn days and summer days necklaces which both have new homes now! The necklace is made using assorted beads in purples and blues, some glass, some fabric, some semi precious, a few pearls and the big glittery connectors are made using resin (as usual he he). I chose to use silver chain for this design as it is a winter themed piece and the colours are cool in nature, it was a nice change as the previous 2 have been made using antique gold.

Latest makes...

Hello everyone,
I realised I have not really posted any makes in a while, but to be honest I havn’t made much jewellery of late…made a stack of resin though he he
The first couple of pictures are a necklace I designed and made last night, it is made from antique gold chain, resin pendants which I used as connectors and then glass and resin beads which have been strung and also attached to chain
I love the colour of the resin, I made it this colour by putting in some eyeshadow dust in a bronze colour which cost me 50p for 2 pots in Primark!!
The second picture is a necklace I made for my mam. All the beads have been individually wire wrapped and attached onto some tigertail which was in turn attached to the ribbon….its so chunky and she loves it ![]()

I have been playing a lot with resin recently and here is a sneaky peek of some of my batches straight out of their moulds...these are going to form part of my shimmer and sparkles collection.
They are all just waiting to be made into jewellery now so they can be launched with the sugar and sprinkles collection.

New social networking site!
I have just created a new social networking site on ning specifically for all things Jewellery Gems but I welcome all kinds of chatter :) It will be great for bouncing ideas around without being told off for advertising or the such...
It is a safe and private environment with a forum for people to discuss things without the constraints of not being able to post links etc...you can only join by invite though. Some of you may have already received one but if you have not and would like to please email me at info@jewellerydesignsbyaimee.co.uk or leave me a comment with your email address and I will send one off to you! I thought this would be the easiest way to reach most people :)

This weekends makes...
This weekend was really busy, these are only a few of the things I have made! I also made some customised swarovski trainers which are now on my sisters feet and also a really chunky lime charm necklace for my mam which I forgot to photo...I will try and get pictures of them this week.
In the meantime the necklace is made with turqouise which has been wire wrapped together with brown wire and the ring is made with some RAK beads from Dee and a simple ring base.

Daisy chain
This is what I made this morning whilst I have been locked in the house! (long story)
It is all sewn onto thread and really easy to do…I got the pattern from http://www.fusionbeads.com if anyone wants to try it too! The beads are size 8 seed beads so it does turn out very delicate…I made it this length so it can also be wrapped around the wrist multiple times to make it a bracelet also! Great thing is you can do it in any colour scheme you want to really, I stuck to my usual green and pink and I am going to make a lime and fuschia one too but it could also look great in black and white!
